Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day falls into the same category as Christmas day and New Year’s Eve. It can be the best of times or the worst of times, depending on your social situation. For people happily in love, it may be a celebration of a wonderful inspirational experience together. For singletons and those recently divorced, it can magnify their loneliness or isolation. For everyone, the day is heavy with expectation, and the potential for either supreme happiness or ultimate disappointment is writ large. We would like to know your experience of Valentine’s Day. What did you have planned? What did you do? What were your feelings about it all? The best day of the year, the worst day of the year or somewhere in between? Please share your thoughts!

I think I have reached a time in my life where I am truly enjoying Valentine’s Day. When I was younger there were a few good ones but many Valentine’s Days were sad or disappointing. As a grand mother of 2 terrific little girls, I enjoy making Valentine’s Day special with a family shared meal and, of course, chocolate and heart decorations.
